Meet Zoraida

Zoraida has graduated in the class of 2020. She places this graduation as one of her greatest accomplishments thus far, but identified this as just the beginning to her successes. Zoriada had attended four different schools her freshman year and then eventually dropped out. Zoraida identified her major obstacles to graduating as being homeless and a rise in her anxiety. Zoraida attributes her success to the supports of Community Partners, the Lewis Center and Good Leaders Program that assisted her by providing basic needs, encouragement and helping her to build her confidence again. Zoraida pushed through the pandemic, all of the way to the end to complete her diploma. Zoraida is now working at Burger King and plans to attend Palm Beach State in the Fall.
