Celebrating the Victories!

Victory Emmanuel

Emmanuel didn’t have it easy; in 2010 he was living in Haiti when it was struck by an earthquake. He was buried in rubble for four days, until his brother found him and had to amputate his arm to free him.

“If he sees an obstacle, he will work a way to overcome that obstacle. His disability just doesn’t stop him,” said Joseph Griner, Assistant Project Supervisor for the Okeechobee Waterways Project and one of Emmanuel’s supervisors.

Emmanuel is just one of the many Victory Stories that have occurred at Gulfstream Goodwill Industries (GGI). GGI is the largest health, human, and social service organization in the five counties we serve – We choose to give people with disabilities and other barriers to independence hope, opportunity, and a real chance of belonging to a bigger community.
