Career Academy of the Palm Beaches is a public charter school authorized by The School District of Palm Beach County and dedicated to preparing young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for meaningful employment, greater independence, and lifelong success.

Governed by an independent Board of Directors, the Academy provides a supportive, student centered learning environment where education extends beyond the classroom. Through individualized instruction, career exploration, workplace readiness training, paid internship opportunities, and community partnerships, students develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Rather than participating in state standardized testing, student progress is measured through teacher developed, principal approved assessments that evaluate academic growth, life skills, career readiness, and successful employment outcomes. This approach ensures every student’s achievements are recognized in ways that reflect their unique strengths and future aspirations.
