Karen Davidson
President and CEO

Karen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Leo University and a Master of Accounting from Nova Southeastern University. She has been a senior finance executive with 25 years of experience in health care and non-profit organizations with a focus on developing and executing financial, operational and strategic plans to grow the profitability of highly complex, multi-entity organizations. Her role at GGI includes managing operations for finance and all sub-functions including information technology, procurement, treasury and investments, building maintenance, and insurance lines of coverage. She has a passion in supporting organizations that assist individuals and families in our community that have barriers to employment and housing.

For more than six decades, Gulfstream Goodwill Industries has remained steadfast in its commitment to strengthening communities by creating opportunities that transform lives. Guided by our mission to remove barriers to independence, we provide comprehensive services that empower individuals to achieve stability, self sufficiency, and long term success. Through workforce development, education, affordable and supportive housing, homelessness prevention, services for veterans and seniors, and innovative programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we work to ensure that every person we serve has access to the resources, support, and opportunities necessary to reach their fullest potential. Our mission is founded on the belief that every individual possesses inherent value, unique abilities, and the opportunity to build a brighter future when provided with the support and resources to succeed.

Karen Davidson
President and CEO

Karen Davidson, President & CEO, is a senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience guiding complex, multi-entity, multi-state nonprofit and healthcare enterprises through periods of transformation, financial strengthening, and growth. She brings a proven track record of enterprise leadership, board partnership, operational excellence, and long-term value creation, with full P&L accountability for organizations ranging from $90M to $150M+ in annual revenue.

As President & CEO of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, she sets enterprise strategy and holds full accountability for the organization’s mission, financial health, and operations across a five-county service area spanning board governance and fiduciary oversight, capital and real estate strategy, executive team development, and government, donor, and community relations. She balances mission with disciplined financial stewardship while building strong leadership teams and cultures. Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Leo University and a Master of Accounting from Nova Southeastern University, and she is deeply committed to supporting individuals and families facing barriers to employment and housing.

For more than 60 years, Gulfstream Goodwill Industries has helped people across our community build better lives. We believe something simple but powerful: everyone deserves the chance to live with independence and dignity, and to reach for a future they can be proud of.

That belief drives our work every day. We help people find jobs and build skills. We provide affordable and supportive housing, and we work to prevent homelessness before it starts. We serve veterans and seniors, and we create meaningful opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Behind each of these programs is a real person moving toward something better; a first paycheck, a place to call home, a goal that once felt out of reach.

None of it happens alone. Our staff, partners, volunteers, and supporters bring skill and heart to this mission, and their commitment is what turns good intentions into real change. Together, we help people discover their strengths and overcome the obstacles standing in their way.

Carol Richmond​
Chief Financial Officer​

Carol graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University. Prior to her time at Gulfstream Goodwill, she held leadership roles at Palm Tran Inc., MorseLife Inc., and Palm Beach County Clerk and Comptroller’s Office. Carol is dedicated to providing compassionate support to vulnerable individuals, which is why she has worked in non-profit and the public sector for most of her career. 

Christopher Glinton
Chief of Staff

Dr. Glinton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Palm Beach Atlantic College, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Flagler College, Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University, Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Barry University, and Doctor of Education from American College of Education. He is the currently Principal of the Career Academy of the Palm Beaches and possesses over 35 years’ experience in the education arena, spending a major portion of his career as a student advocate.

Furthermore, he was an instrumental force in establishing the Teen Hotline and the Youth Yellow Pages for Palm Beach County.

Dr. Glinton served on the following Educational initiatives: Instructional Review Teams, Safe Schools Healthy Students Grant Committee, Broad Award Committee, Restorative Justice Team, Superintendent’s Graduation Taskforce, Student Progression Plan Committee, Charter School Application Review Committee, Educational Funders Group, and Ethics Bowl Moderator

He enjoys working with the Episcopal Youth Council, Citizens on Task for the City of Lake Worth, and Feed the Hungry Program in Palm Beach County

Dr. Glinton is an avid reader and an accomplished musician.

Laura Waterman
Senior Director of Community Programs

Laura joined Gulfstream Goodwill Industries (GGI) in 2014 and she has been instrumental in creating successful programs for both at risk youth and adults reentering our community. Laura’s knowledge, commitment and passion for the re-entry population is an integral part of Gulfstream’s successful programs outcomes. As a result of her successes and the growth of justice service programs, Laura was promoted to the Director of Justice services, overseeing the programmatic and administrative priorities of the justice programs. In 2022, Laura’s role expanded to include the programmatic oversight of Capabilities of the Palm Beaches Adult Day Training program. These are programs offered to participants with Intellectual and Development Disabilities (IDD) to provide life skills, job training, social experiences, and inclusive community involvement. Additionally, Laura provides training in Motivational Interviewing for GGI and other nonprofit agencies.

Joshua Lee is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in various facets of management and business development. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Contracts and Business Development at Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Joshua brings a wealth of expertise in retail management, loss prevention, and safety to his role. Throughout his extensive career, Joshua has demonstrated a keen ability to drive results and foster growth within organizations. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in developing and implementing successful business strategies that optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability.  With a strong track record of leadership and innovation,

Devorah Kermisch is a dynamic nonprofit leader with over two decades of experience in strategic community engagement, fundraising, and organizational development. She currently serves as Director of Community Relations at Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, where she leads high-impact outreach initiatives and forges vital partnerships that enhance the organization’s mission to empower individuals through employment and training programs. Prior to her current role, Devorah held key leadership positions at notable organizations including the March of Dimes, and American Diabetes Association. Her expertise spans donor relations, program development, special events, and executive leadership, consistently driving visibility and support for critical causes. Devorah holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University.
