Our Senior Homelessness Prevention initiative focuses on adults aged 60 and older in Palm Beach County who are at imminent risk of eviction or homelessness. The program provides short-term financial assistance and supportive services to help stabilize housing and prevent displacement. We also pay first, last and security to assist participants with obtaining new apartments.
The program offers:
- Rental and utility assistance
- Assistance with condo association/ assessment fees
- Case management to support long-term stability
Connection to wraparound services, including:
- Nutrition programs
- Healthcare access
- Legal assistance
- Transportation resources
Qualifications:
- Participants must be 60 years of age and older
- Participants must be a resident of Palm Beach County
- Participant income must be at or below 50% of the area median income
- For assistance with overdue property taxes and or liens the applicant must have owned and occupied the property for a minimum of two (2) years and not be in foreclosure. Eligible tax exemptions should be on property (homestead, senior citizen, etc.)
- Participants must have no health insurance or a document regarding denial of healthcare claim for any healthcare expenses.
- Must have documented disability for housing accessibility assistance and modification must directly relate to disability.
- Participants will be identified through Palm Beach County’s Continuum of Care (CoC) Housing
