Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)

Organizations that invest in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives are more effective than those that do not. A recent study found that diverse teams are more innovative, make better decisions, and have better returns. Goodwill is a community resource used by people working hard to get ahead – but we can do more! Gulfstream Goodwill’s DEIA Committee was formed in November 2020, and began by drafting its charter and bylaws, which will guide how the committee operates and what areas of focus should be a priority.

This committee will help create strategic accountability for Gulfstream Goodwill Industries (GGI) by promoting training and events to bring awareness to DEIA issues, educating and engaging employees in DEIA conversations, and reviewing and developing policies and procedures that will promote workplace DEIA. Their outcomes will ultimately establish a culture that respects the unique needs, perspectives, and potential of all internal and external GGI stakeholders.
