Keith Kennedy

President and CEO

Keith graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Tech and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University. He is a non-profit executive with over 25 years of operational leadership in mission, contracts, staffing, education and donated goods, with a history of growing double bottom line results and directing multi-million dollar social enterprise. He was an Executive Development Program Graduate from Goodwill Industries International. Prior positions included Senior Director of Operations for Goodwill of North Georgia, Chief Mission Officer for Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, and Vice President of Mission and Contracts for Goodwill Southern Rivers. He is an avid college football fan (Go Hokies/War Eagles!) and loves to go boating with his family. He also enjoys fishing, cooking, and gardening.

Karen Davidson

Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administration

Karen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Leo University and a Master of Accounting from Nova Southeastern University. She has been a senior finance executive with 25 years of experience in health care and non-profit organizations with a focus on developing and executing financial, operational and strategic plans to grow the profitability of highly complex, multi-entity organizations. Her role at GGI includes managing operations for finance and all sub-functions including information technology, procurement, treasury and investments, building maintenance, and insurance lines of coverage. She has a passion in supporting organizations that assist individuals and families in our community in overcoming food insecurity and hunger. She and her husband and four children live in Jupiter.

Kevin Bender

Chief Operating Officer

Kevin was formerly the Director of Retail for the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park until 2015. He was then promoted to Vice President of Retail for Delaware North in Buffalo, NY where he oversaw all Retail Operations of 29 stadiums for the MLB, NHL, NBA, and NFL. In 2017, he became the Director of Retail Operations for Goodwill of North Georgia. In 2019, Kevin became the Vice President of Retail for Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, Inc. In 2022 Kevin was elevated to COO where he oversees all Retail Store Operations, Contracts, Business Development, Logistics, and Operations.

Erin Kozlowski

Chief Development Officer

Erin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Merchandising Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology.  She spent a semester abroad in Italy at the American University of Rome and enjoyed graduate courses at Cornell and New York University, in addition to the emerging leaders program at University of Miami.  Erin is an accomplished senior executive who has spent the last 23 years successfully promoting non-profit, luxury and entertainment brands.  She has a remarkable track record in maximizing profitability and leading operations, while integrating cultural reforms to motivate new departments.  Her role at GGI includes managing the philanthropy, marketing and public relations operations.  She is committed to serving the intellectually disabled population and is driven to provide inclusive opportunities for the most vulnerable people.  Erin and her husband live with their two children in West Boynton Beach.

Shannon McGhee PhD

Vice President of Education and Development

Dr. Shannon Chancellor McGhee earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Mercer University, Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. She has 16 years of higher education experience to include various positions within academic affairs, enrollment management, and student affairs. As Vice President of Education and Development, she administers the educational programming for clients served by Gulfstream Goodwill. Additionally, she oversees the training, orientation, and professional development initiatives for all staff of the organization. New to the state, Dr. McGhee spends her spare time exploring the area, seeking out opportunities to become more involved in her local community, and enjoying family time with her husband, Nikia and their son, Hunt.

Laura Contrera

Vice President of Human Services

Laura graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a Master of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida and is also a Qualified Supervisor for licensure in the State of Florida. Laura has been with Gulfstream Goodwill for 5 years. As Vice President of Human Services, her responsibilities include oversight of all Human Services Programs within Gulfstream Goodwill, which includes services for individuals including homeless shelter (s), permanent supportive housing, adult and youth reentry, vision services, charter school for youth with disabilities, and community contracts which employs adults with disabilities. Laura is very passionate about helping others. She enjoys Bikram yoga and reading.

Karl Tomecek

Vice President of Information Technology

Karl has worked in the technology arena for over 25 years and has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. In addition, he also has an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Science degree in Software Development from Maryville University. Previously, Karl was a VP at Citibank managing operations in New York and Miami. He was also a Director for Johnson & Johnson for the Latin American region. Most recently, Karl was the Global IT Director for the largest floral producer in the US. Karl has a passion for teaching and has been an adjunct professor for over 10 years at several South Florida universities. Karl has 6 children and cherishes spending family time, camping, playing video games and music. He also speaks 3 languages and enjoys learning about different cultures.

Mary Flack

Vice President of Events Management

Mary attended Mount Mary College in Wisconsin studying Business Administration. She has worked in the non-profit industry for over 25 years. As an experienced professional, she has had many successes in grant writing, special events, donor cultivation, and fundraising. As Vice President of Events Management, she oversees all signature and mission events, and directs exclusive fishing tournaments in the Caribbean benefiting Gulfstream Goodwill.  Mary has a true passion to help other people. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling. Mary and her husband Andy have two boys, A. Jay and Aaron, and volunteer for many community organizations in their spare time.
